FAQ
How do you build my training plan?
In our initial discussion, I find out about your running background, your day-to-day routine, goals, and reason for wanting to start a program. I ask a lot of questions that will lead me to your first training block — a 5-week cycle with mileage, paces, and number of runs per week. Our weekly check-ins allow me to tweak where needed as I get to know you as a runner.
What if I get injured or life gets in the way?
If you're on a month-to-month plan, you can pause it and we can pick it up after your health or situation changes. If you're on a multi-month plan, we can pause it as well. If it's a serious situation, we'll figure something out that's fair for everyone.
Do you work with runners who aren't training for a race?
Absolutely! I'm right now myself, just training for life and to be able to play with future grandkids one day.
Is there a minimum commitment?
Other than 1 month, no. But, I would imagine if you're interested in our coaching services then you're looking for a longer commitment.
What makes this different from just following a training app or generic plan?
You've answered the question. We are not generic or an app. I'm a real person who has coached 100s of athletes of all levels over the past 30 years, and by knowing your story, your background, your work life, family life, etc. I know how to tweak, push, or pull back based on how you're running, but more importantly, how you're handling the training emotionally.
